"Welcome Home" Sunday Lunch - December 4th at 12pm in the Gym

We’d like to invite you and your family to our “Welcome Home” Sunday lunch at 12pm on December 4th in the gym! Feel free to invite folks who haven’t been to First Baptist in a while “back home” to join us for a wonderful time of fellowship together! 

The tickets are $5 per person, you can 1) purchase ticket(s) on Sunday morning or on our website (click the link below) then visit the church offices during the week to pay, 2) pay on December 4th at the event as you arrive for the meal.

Choir Christmas Cantata - Dec. 9th at 7pm in the Shelby Court Square

Join us for a wonderful evening of worship to the newborn King Jesus on December 9th at 7pm on the south lawn of the Earl Scruggs Center (W Warren St. side). Our united choir from the four Uptown Shelby Churches will present the City of Hope cantata by Tom Fettke and Jay Rouse.

We will be partnering with Hospice of Cleveland County to help raise funds by purchasing luminaries, for more information please visit hospicecares.cc.  Come enjoy refreshments, including hot cocoa and cookies, and wonderful holiday music ringing in the Christmas season! 

Blood Drive - December 6th in the FBCS Gym

Tuesday, December 6th 2:00pm to 6:30pm. Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: FBC SHELBY to schedule an appointment.

Donors with blood types O-, O+, A-, and B- are needed for Power Red Donation. Bring your photo ID or American Red Cross Donor Card. 

Church-wide Prayer Nights

We would like to invite you to join our church family for times of intentional prayer throughout this next season at First Baptist Church of Shelby. Beginning Tuesday, September 6th at 6pm, we will gather in Webb Chapel to seek the Lord’s wisdom and to pray for those in our community. 

We will meet each Tuesday for church-wide prayer nights in Webb Chapel at 6pm throughout this Fall. 

NAR-Anon Family Support Group - meeting every Tuesday night at 6:30 beginning October 25th.

NAR-anon is a support group for those effected by someone else’s addiction. We offer help by sharing our experiences, strength, and hope.

Meetings will be held in the Singles Room at First Baptist Church, Shelby, located off Dale Street between Sumter and Campbell Street.  Please park on the side of the church or in the alley.

Men's Ministry Mornings - Thursdays at 7pm in the Youth Room

Calling all FBC Shelby men! We are looking forward to studying God’s word together each Thursday morning at 7am in the Youth Room. We will fellowship, watch a short video by Tim Tebow then discuss. Coffee and donuts are provided, we’d love for you to come and to bring a friend!
