A Simple Swap

Since I retired, one of the interests I’ve rekindled is bee keeping.  Every time I’m messing with my bees, or observing their activities in and around the hive, I’m reminded of the amazing job our God did when he created the universe.  Think of the way a bee is wired….they’re just looking for food and shelter, but in that process, they provide a crucial service for mankind’s survival.  God’s little teeny creation, the bee, fits into our ecosystem in such an amazing way.

But then, our God also created the universe and its millions of stars…made our world just right for our existence…and now, while He’s resting, designs every snowflake to be different from all the rest.  Take a look at the fields of wheat, the splendor of the mountains, the quiet serenity of the ocean at sunrise, love for a spouse that lasts a lifetime.  It is all so staggering, so beyond our capacity to understand or appreciate.  It  just makes me want to say WOW!!!! And THANK YOU!!!

So, even after all the things mentioned above were done….there was that one other action He had on His mind:  Just a simple swap!  He put his own Son’s life on the altar and said: Tell you what….Believe in my Son, receive Him into your heart, accept His saving sacrifice…..and in exchange, He will take your tattered, tarnished, sinful soul and make it perfectly, flawlessly, wholly, white again.

Here I go again:  WOW! & THANK YOU!!!
